Cool fuel
A few weeks ago, someone wrote about a new idea in the sphere: a great wall o' blogs at fuelmyblog.
The idea is simple. There are 40x40 pixel-sized squares up for grabs. Take a square, pick an image that best represents you or your blog, upload it, and you're on the wall!
Squares are still free... for now. Who knows if or when that will change? Anyway, you get to keep the square for five years at no charge. It's a way to advertise your blog and get people reading you.
Check out the top left of the front page wall for the little chickadee and you've found me. Look a little further for a picture of our beloved leader, Stephen Colbert, and that's also me.
The front wall is filling up fast, but there are four more walls, under the categories More, Business, General and Life. You can plaster your blog on the wall more than once.

They're holding a cash contest and will be soon doing a weekly radio show in which they'll talk about top stories on various blogs. One blogger will be chosen for an interview each week and have a chance to hear themselves on the radio.
After I snagged my square, I took a few minutes to hover the pointer over various pictures on the wall. When you hover, the picture in question pops up in a larger format. Click on it to go directly to that blog.

Hint: Pick a really interesting picture to post in your square. A catchy image makes a first impression that will get more people curious to click on your image and go to your blog. After all, the great wall is about advertising and getting hits!
Another idea: Wave your mouse pointer SLOWLY over the wall after it loads. You get this fascinating, undulating ripple of faces, symbols, smiles, cartoons, colours.... it's really quite cool. Almost like acid, whoo-hah. Just try it and see how oddly mesmerizing it is.

It will appear - I waited a bit but then came back the next day, and there it was. :)
it's there now....
It takes us time! Sometimes we sleep, when we are corporate it'll be instant!!
