Allow me to gross you out

I've been fighting some intestinal bug for well over a week. It's not a gastro, which has been ripping through the Canadian population like an, uh, airborne viral parasite.

This has been low-grade but highly annoying, the most obvious symptom a steady abdominal ache, some dizzinesss, and a general feeling of malaise.

And now, someone told me the Norwalk virus is making the rounds.

I fervently hope this is not true, because of this information:

How do people get Norwalk virus infection?

People get Norwalk virus infection by swallowing food or water that has been contaminated with stool from an infected person. Outbreaks in the United States are often linked to eating raw shellfish, especially oysters and clams. Shellfish become contaminated via stool from sick food handlers or from raw sewage dumped overboard by recreational and/or commercial boaters. Contaminated water, ice, eggs, salad ingredients, and ready-to-eat foods are other sources of infection.

Yuck, yuck, double yuck.

That really is gross. Makes me wanna hurl just reading it.

From what I read (I googled it cuz I've never heard of it before), it doesn't sound like that's what you have, thankfully. Cuz, you know, that would so totally gross. *blech* ANYway, if you don't start feeling better, you must promise us you will go see a doctor. OK? Okaaay?? You have to pinky swear. I'm sure we can find a way to do it virtually. ;)
