Ode to an unhappy man
He reads for wisdom, but knows not how to apply it to his life.
He prays for grace, but has little to share with his fellows.
He eats as though each meal were his last; his stomach aches, his pants don't fit.
He sits alone of a night, flipping through channels.
He hoards and stockpiles against a time of want or need.
His sleep is short and broken.
He fears the onset of old age, and laments no heart to love.
He hides his loneliness because pride won't permit.
He speaks without forethought, wounding without heed.
He had friends but he drove them away, one by one.

Great you have done something to fix how we leave comments, at least for me.
I liked that post, although I didn't like the truth of it. Some of what it says is what wonder if is how my life is going. Scary
How to climb out of the traps we create for ourselves is the question.
raw truth
Sounds like you are one of the could be really good friends who is being driven away. Did you show him the post or does he read your blog? If not, you should mail it to him.
I was trying to keep up the friendship but he became too hurtful too often.
