Posting at T minus 1.5

Well, crap, less than 2 hours until my birthday.

But as I told my mom, this year's number and last year's don't feel big... not like turning, say, 30, or 39. Those were big ones.

So now you know I'm over 30.

The wind is still howling out here... it's been a crazy day. The pine trees and the cedars were bending and waving, the sound in the pines was like a hollow moan. This must be the tail-end of someone's hurricane, no? I didn't watch the weather the past two days, so I don't know.

Anyway, it was eerie.

And now off to bed, perchance to sleep.
