Small business news website: A keeper!

You know, it seems a bit surreal to think I've been running my own business for well nigh 20 years.

Being a translator and writer, my mind is mostly occupied by the creative aspect of my work.

I've have always hated the financial and actual business part. Like... provincial and federal tax deposits -- here in Canada, we have to do them AHEAD of time, BEFORE we've actually earned the money. Seems unfair.

I have occasionally broken down and hired accountants over the years. But I often felt it hurt more in the short term to pay for expertise, when I wasn't making enough money to justify that deductible expense at the expense (ha!) of things like groceries or daycare fees.

But I have just found an online service designed especially for small business entrepreneurs, which could help me with some of the horrid mathematical and legal paperwork. Or at least walk me through the first steps, some of which I know, others which could be updated in my knowledge bank.

This site includes valuable information on tax deductions, assets, depreciation of equipment, employees and more.

Free business info looks to be a crucial reference for small business start-ups -- and even old-small-business folks like me, who kinda suck at the number-crunching aspect.

Check it out. I never write a sponsored post that doesn't apply to me directly. This one is no exception.
